- This paper stresses that the understanding and use of neuroscience and an awareness of brain biology is crucial to contemporary psychology, and must be incorporated into theory and practice. It shows that such a practice was present in early American psychology and in recent decades it has been renewed and expanded. It examines the central concepts uniting psychology and neuroscience.
