Review and Codification of Understanding Persian Language Concept Questionnaire Based on Statistically Method

Abstract
The Persian Language Concept Index (PLCI) is a multi-choice evaluation tool which is used to assess the level of understanding basic concepts of Persian Language amongst university students; and determine the items that students are prone to make mistakes on them. This pilot study applies PLCI test along with three credit hours of general Persian language. Effects of university type, gender, and even the level of recognition on the PLCI score is examined herein. The results showed that Universities, gender, and the levels of assessment are effective on PLCI performance. The response from females in sense of PLCI score was significant in comparison to males. Level of structural understanding was lower in comparison to the level of meaning understanding and message recognition which rely on student’s verbal abilities. In total, the level of understanding Persian Language concept among students was lower than 10 (based on zero to twenty scale).
